Buggy Rental Prices in Tangier: Rates, Deposit and What's Included

How much does a buggy tour in Tangier cost? Driver or passenger rates, the 200 DH booking deposit, security deposit and what the price includes.

Published on November 7, 2026

Planning a trip to Tangier and tempted by a buggy ride? Before you book, the same question always comes up: how much does it really cost, and what's included? Here are our actual prices, route by route, along with the booking deposit, the security deposit and everything you need to know to avoid surprises.

Two options: drive or ride as a passenger

At Buggy Tanger, every tour is done in a Can-Am buggy, with a guide. You can choose between two options.

You drive. The price is set per buggy, whether you're alone or two on board. It's the ideal option for a couple or two friends who want to take turns behind the wheel.

You ride as a passenger. Our driver takes the wheel while you enjoy the scenery. This option suits you if you don't feel like driving, if you'd rather take photos, or if you're travelling solo and want a lower price.

Good to know: the passenger rate is half the driver rate on every route. So if there are two of you in a buggy you drive yourself, the cost per person works out the same as the passenger option.

Prices for our four routes

Prices vary depending on the duration, distance and difficulty of the route. Here are our starting prices:

  • Buggy tour Tanger (45 min, 20 km, easy): from 1,200 DH per buggy if you drive, from 600 DH as a passenger. On the itinerary: the Corniche, Malabata, a panoramic viewpoint and a return along the coast.
  • Cap Spartel (1h30, 38 km, intermediate): from 1,800 DH per buggy if you drive, from 900 DH as a passenger. You go through the Corniche and Merkala, the Rmilat forest, then on to Cap Spartel.
  • Forest and Cap Spartel (1h45, 31 km, intermediate): from 2,200 DH per buggy if you drive, from 1,100 DH as a passenger. Same start, with the Mediouna forest added.
  • Beach and forests (2h30, 56 km, difficult): from 3,400 DH per buggy if you drive, from 1,700 DH as a passenger. The Corniche, a ride through the forest, a panoramic view over the Strait and Haouara beach.

For a first experience, the Buggy tour Tanger is the most accessible, both in budget and difficulty. If you already have some experience and want the most complete outing, the Beach and forests route is the longest.

Booking deposit and balance: how payment works

Payment is made in two steps, which keeps things simple and reassuring.

  • When you book: you pay a deposit of 200 DH to secure your time slot.
  • On the day of the tour: you pay the balance on site.

The deposit is only used to guarantee your place on the chosen slot. It's deducted from the total price: you don't pay anything extra.

A 48-hour cancellation policy applies. If your travel plans are still uncertain, take a moment to check the conditions when you book.

The security deposit: how much and for whom

This is often the point that worries people. Here's how it works.

  • If you drive: a security deposit of 5,000 DH per buggy is required. It's returned to you after the tour.
  • If you're a passenger: no security deposit is required.

The security deposit isn't a cost. It's a guarantee, just like with any vehicle rental. It applies per buggy, not per person: if there are two of you in the same buggy, there's only one deposit.

If you'd rather not tie up that amount during your holiday, the passenger option is a good solution: you enjoy the same route, with no deposit.

What's included in the price

The price you see covers the full tour on the route you choose:

  • The Can-Am buggy for the entire duration of the tour.
  • The guide, who accompanies you and knows the trails.
  • The full route, with all planned stops: the Corniche, forests, Cap Spartel or the beach depending on the itinerary.
  • The driver, if you choose the passenger option.

For any practical questions about equipment or what to bring, the easiest thing is to ask us when you book. We'd rather give you a precise answer than leave anything unclear.

How to choose based on your budget

A few pointers to help you decide:

  • Tight budget or limited time: the Buggy tour Tanger, in 45 minutes, gives you a great overview of the coast.
  • Want to see Cap Spartel: go for the Cap Spartel route, or the version with the Mediouna forest if you enjoy wooded trails.
  • A real half-day adventure: Beach and forests, with Haouara beach and the Strait as a backdrop. The level is difficult: you'll want to feel comfortable behind the wheel.
  • Two of you: driving one buggy costs the same per person as two passenger seats, with the fun of driving on top.
  • Solo: the passenger option is the cheapest.

Tours depart every day, between 9 am and 7 pm. So you can fit the ride in the morning, afternoon or late in the day, depending on your plans in Tangier. Our starting point is on Avenue Marrakech.

In short

A buggy tour in Tangier with Buggy Tanger means a clear price per buggy or per passenger, a 200 DH booking deposit, the balance paid on site, and a security deposit returned after the tour if you drive. No security deposit for passengers. Choose your route based on your time and what you're in the mood for, then book your slot here.
