Here are our actual prices, the difference between driving and riding as a passenger, and how the booking deposit and security deposit work. No surprises on the day.
Driver or passenger: two ways to ride
At Buggy Tanger, every tour is done in a Can-Am buggy, with a guide. You have two options.
You drive. The price is set per buggy, not per person. Each buggy takes 1 or 2 people. If there are two of you, you share the same price. You can also take turns at the wheel, as agreed with the guide on site.
You ride as a passenger. Our driver takes the wheel. You enjoy the scenery, the thrills and the photos without worrying about the track. This option is ideal if you don't feel like driving or just want to try the activity. It's also more affordable.
One important point: the passenger option requires no security deposit. More on that below.
Our prices by route
We offer four routes, from shortest to longest. The prices below are starting prices.
- Buggy tour Tanger: 45 min, 20 km, easy level. From 1,200 DH per buggy if you drive (1 or 2 people), from 600 DH as a passenger. Stops: Corniche, Malabata, panoramic viewpoint, return along the coast.
- Cap Spartel: 1h30, 38 km, intermediate level. From 1,800 DH per buggy to drive, from 900 DH as a passenger. Stops: Corniche and Merkala, Rmilat forest, Cap Spartel.
- ForĂȘt et Cap Spartel: 1h45, 31 km, intermediate level. From 2,200 DH per buggy to drive, from 1,100 DH as a passenger. Stops: Corniche and Merkala, Rmilat forest, Cap Spartel, Mediouna forest.
- Plage et forĂȘts: 2h30, 56 km, difficult level. From 3,400 DH per buggy to drive, from 1,700 DH as a passenger. Stops: Tangier Corniche, forest crossing, panorama over the Strait, Haouara beach.
How to choose based on your budget
If it's your first time, the Buggy tour Tanger is the simplest option. It's short, easy, and already gives you great views of the coast.
The two routes to Cap Spartel offer a good balance between duration and price. They take you to one of the best-known spots in the region, where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean.
If you already have some experience and want a real half-day adventure, Plage et forĂȘts is our most complete tour. It's rated difficult, so you should feel comfortable behind the wheel.
A tip: with two people sharing one buggy and driving, the cost per person works out to half the listed price.
The booking deposit: 200 DH to secure your slot
To book, we ask for a 200 DH deposit. It secures your time slot. The balance is paid on site on the day of the tour.
It's a convenient system. You only pay a small amount before your trip, and your spot is guaranteed, even in busy periods.
We run tours every day, from 09:00 to 19:00. So you can fit your ride in the morning, afternoon or early evening, depending on your plans in Tangier.
What if you need to cancel?
Things come up when you travel. Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel. If you're unsure about the conditions, just ask when you book. We'd rather everything is clear from the start.
The security deposit: how it works
The security deposit only applies to buggies that you drive. It's 5,000 DH per buggy driven, and it's returned after the tour.
Why a security deposit? Because you're driving an off-road vehicle. The deposit covers that risk during the ride. It's not added to the price: it's a guarantee, not a payment.
With the passenger option, no security deposit is required. Our driver is at the wheel, so there's nothing to arrange on that front.
Just make sure you have the means to leave it if you choose to drive. If you have questions about how to pay it, ask us when you book.
What's included in the price
To be precise, here's what a tour with Buggy Tanger includes:
- The Can-Am buggy for the duration of your chosen route, for 1 or 2 people with the driving option.
- The guide, who accompanies you along the entire route.
- The full route, with all its stops: corniche, forests, viewpoints, and beach depending on the tour.
- The driver, if you choose the passenger option.
